New Life

The short review: I would recommend. Mark Sears was our project manager and the whole process was transparent and thorough and the team was excellent to work with. Our week-long project was complex and had issues beyond their control (other company’s fault and a hurricane.) They stood behind their work and I am satisfied. Would recommend for big jobs like ours. Long review: We had what we thought was a minor leak around a window seal, which was going to be fixed along with an old awning removed. Turns out the whole frame was rotten, screwdriver could go through the framing rotten. That company stopped and recommended we get someone to come in ASAP, water had been leaking behind the wall for a long time. After multiple quotes and talking with our insurance, we decided on New Life DKI. This was not going to be covered by our insurance and would be wholly out of pocket (10k+ in damages). All the quotes included the same needed items: mold remediation, drywall, framing, siding, and replacement windows (failed due to shifting of the rotten frame.) Mark did a quote and would handle the project management we were going to require. The New Life DKI quote was the only one with a complete breakdown (line item by line item.) They could do everything apart from new windows. After selecting them to go forward Mark was in constant contact with us on the status of materials and labor. They also went above and beyond to work with our schedules and take extra precautions as we have two dogs that had to be penned during certain points of the job. Then came complications, the windows from the other company which took the measurements themselves didn’t fit. Mark had his crew at the ready while we waited on that company. We also had Helene come through during the process and their workers came out in the downpour to make sure the leak the rain exposed held till they could come out and properly fix it. When the job was finally done (again not New Life’s fault for how long it took.) New Life had a final walkthrough and touch-up. Overall the project management was on point and transparent. They stood behind their work and went above and beyond. I would share the after photos but everything is covered up, so you cannot tell there was ever anything wrong. (Which is a good thing.)

This company was here two hours after I called in a home owners claim. They ripped up my floors and had fans and dehumidifiers going cleaning up the water damage as well as cutting a hole in my basement ceiling water had leaked down in. They were amazing to work with always in communication with me about my claim status and even installed my new floors and fixed the drywall in the ceiling so that it looks brand new. They are fast and the quality of work is top notch. I highly recommend them.

I rarely give reviews and even more rarely give good ones. We have been doing business with New Life from before they were named New Life. Its rare for a company to offer affordable prices and the highest level of service. They are a company you want on your vendor list. On a scale of 1-10 they are 11.

I am impressed with this company. I called for them to come out to clean a couch that another company failed at cleaning. These guys took a look and immediately said to clean this couch would damage it beyond repair. I wish I had called them first.
