The best part of my experience with Dry Force was working with Jake Brynie. Jake served as the operations manager for my water mitigation. But more than that he helped as an honest broker between Dry Force and my insurance company at a critical moment. Through his patience, professionalism, sense of fair play, temperament and dedication to customer service, Jake’s participation assisted in moving the process toward a resolution that all parties eventually agreed to accept. Without his initiative, I honestly don’t know if the situation would have been resolved. I certainly hope Dry Force & Higher Ground appreciate and value Jake Brynie’s leadership and character. He possesses the qualities that make a company successful and the customer experience positive. Thank you Jake and Dry Force!
Delilah and Jeremy were great. My dog Coco loves them! Friendly and helpful from start to finish and that was just during the initial assessments to inspect the water damage to the ceiling. Can’t recommend them enough. Super knowledgeable and reassuring about the process knowing that they’ll take care of everything. Kudos.
Stay away from this company. Worst experience ever. I thought they were reputable becuase of all the good reviews - but got terrible service from them, with so many mistakes dropping the ball it’s almost comic. Instead of taking responsibility, apologizing and accepting the payment my insurance approved (which they don’t deserve IMO due to all of the mess ups) - they are overcharging me and threatening to place a lien on my home. After this bad experience I decided to get certified in water damage remediation - so now I know what the correct actions should’ve been. TL;DR - They got the job, then got busy with other jobs and neglected it for 3 days. No communication, no one visiting site for 3 days, no updates. After getting tired of calling in 3-4 times a day with no one to talk to, I fired them. When it comes time to bill they try to milk it and overcharge. Instead of apologizing/taking responsibility and getting paid for the work they actually did. Here is what happened: -I had a small leak from AC water that affected a small hallway and small part of two bedrooms. An area of 150 sqft max. -Instead of following protocol, and removing non porous LVP flooring before drying, they setup dryers for 3 days on top of the flooring (unprofessional and not according to S500) -they setup 13 fans for a really tiny area, and guess what - bill per fan. Again, totally unnecessary -They setup air filtration which is only needed if dealing with sewage/contaminated water. AC water is cleaner than tap water and people many times use it specifically for plants. Saying it is "contaminated water" allows them to charge more of course. -In 5 days, they never had any person come to check on the property in person and take reading. Once a day is the standard. They got busy with other jobs due to the storm. -They said they didn’t rip the flooring on day 1 due to old house, which may constrain asbestos. However, see in photos whole house was remodeled with new floors, walls, ceiling, less than 2yrs. So 0% asbestos risk pulling up new flooring on top of concrete. Once I fired them, next person came in and immediately ripped it with no risks/signs of asbestos. -I even gave them permission to do asbestos test (they own the sister company that does tests), but they failed to schedule it in 3 days potentially causing mold issues as water continued being locked under flooring. -through this whole process, there were no updates and I needed to call them 3-4 times a day to actually understand what was going on and talk to someone and try to get them to take action. - after 3 days of no progress, no update, no communications and chasing them, I realized they are incompetent and terminated the work with them and asked they come pickup the equipment. -it took them 3 days more days to schedule a crew to pickup equipment, and they scheduled it after 5pm. So then they billed me for after hours labor. -My insurance adjuster approved $1650 for the work they’ve done, but they are asking for $3,850 (for visiting once and putting unnecessary equipment in for 3 days). Now they don’t want to work with my adjuster anymore, and threaten to put a lien on my home. Do you guys think I have a case for a lawsuit against them for negligence?
Darrique arrived in a timely manner, provided excellent and thorough explanation of the entire process. He thoroughly checked the affected area where the water damage occurred and provided insights about what needed to be done. He also provided help contacting my insurance company and file a claim. I highly recommend Darrique for his knowledgeable and trustworthy work.
I use dry force for water mitigation for my Plano home. It has been the WORST experience in service and communication. The team would show up constantly unannounced and in the middle of the night. I called and repeatedly requested prior approval and notification before any tech was allowed into the house. They would still show up randomly and enter my home with no communication, which is a major problem. The customer service was horrendous. Donna Johnson the accounts manager would yell and hang up when discussing my account details. I was not notified when things were even completed with no closing documents provided that the work was even completed and when final documents were sent donna refused to review them or provide any explanation of work that was included…. Shout out – Izzy Ochoa who called me after and took the time Donna could not be bothered with. Though I did have to call repeatedly to get another manager on the phone. :Update: Frank Sabatino, One of the Dry Force managers reached out. He was understanding of the situation and tried to make things right to the best of his ability. Though difficult to make up for the overall experience, I thought Franks patience and effort to set things right were worth an update.
We were pleased with our interactions with Nick and Oscar in Central Texas. Nick was super responsive to all of our questions and he really explained things so we would know what to expect as the project progressed. The crews doing to work, including Oscar, were also very communicative, asking us questions and responding to our questions. Everyone arrived in the timeframe promised and got right to work. So far, we are very happy with the work that done.
Darrique is the BEST Tecnician that I have ever had come to my house! He’s informative, helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable! Dry force has a great technician in Darrique! He’s very thorough and helped us the whole way!! The price he quoted was fair and reasonable. He’s great
