I hired Speedy Restoration Inc. for mold remediation and repairs including drywall, painting, and flooring. While the actual workers were excellent—skilled, courteous, and efficient—the experience with the contractor representative, Suzi, was deeply frustrating. Initial responsiveness vs. follow-through: Suzi was very prompt and communicative when trying to win the business. However, once the work started, her responsiveness dropped significantly. Calls and texts often went unanswered, and I frequently had to follow up multiple times just to get basic updates. Lack of transparency: She refused to provide her own estimates upfront and instead relied on the insurance-approved claim amounts. After gaining access to my insurance details, she began adjusting her scope and pricing to match the coverage rather than providing independent quotes. Poor communication and professionalism: I had to separately follow up with both the insurance company and the contractor to understand the next steps. There was no proactive communication or clear planning. Suzi also did a poor job of aligning with the insurance process. For example, she included mold cleaning in the estimate but never conducted any mold testing to confirm its presence. When asked about it, she casually dismissed the concern, saying mold testing wasn’t mandatory—an approach that felt careless and unprofessional. Unprofessional behavior: When I raised my concerns about lack of planning and transparency, she deflected responsibility and claimed I kept changing the scope of work—an excuse that didn’t reflect reality. Micromanagement required: While the mold remediation was done well, the repair phase was chaotic and required constant oversight. There was no clear schedule, and I had to stay on top of every detail to ensure things moved forward correctly. Advice to others: Be extremely clear and upfront with expectations. Insist on receiving detailed, written estimates before sharing any insurance information. Do not disclose your insurance coverage early in the process, as it may be used to shape the contractor’s pricing rather than provide fair quotes. The workers deserve credit for their craftsmanship, but the overall experience with Speedy Restoration Inc. was disappointing due to poor communication, lack of transparency, and the need for constant micromanaging.

Speedy Restoration did such an amazing job after my hot water heater burst in my garage. They made sure all the drywall and insulation was replaced and added a drain line for any water leaks in the future. While work was being done they made sure the area was safe and now it looks better than ever!

We hired speedy restoration for restoration project caused by the water leak in our bathroom. As compared to other vendors, Elias, our main point of contact from SR, was very balanced, authentic, and reasonable in his approach of sharing the pros and cons of different mitigation strategies. The team that worked on the project was fantastic and went above and beyond to do their best work. I'd hire them in a heartbeat for our next projects.

Our kitchen sink had a small leak which turned into mold and damages to the back kitchen wall and cabinets. Suzi and her team were informative, professional and easy to work with. She answered all my questions, gave us options and suggestions to contact our insurance company. Once work started, her team, George and Luis were phenomenal to work with. They closed off the kitchen, set up fans and clean-up was quick. Once mold was removed, we decided to have their other department to start the build-back of the kitchen. Elias was great to work with. Professional, responsive and his team of contractors were so friendly. In addition to all above, they were every responsive. Love quick text messages back! Speedy led the renovation of my entire downstairs home last year and they are excellent, in terms of speed and quality. With so many complex dependencies between the teams, materials, and my schedule, they were able to accomplish a full demo, install, and finishing of the entire floor (kitchen, great room, living room, bathroom, office) in less than 4 weeks! This likely would’ve taken other teams 2-3 months! Raphael is a great, honest guy to work with, and his team is nothing short of reliable and fast. Would highly recommend!
