Michael

I ended up using Paul Davis restoration through an insurance claim, because my insurance made it sound like using them is easier, so they could be paid directly rather than take my claim money in draws over time. I’ll start off by saying here’s my first mistake. I would’ve been much better off, and gotten a better result if I would have found subcontractors myself. I had to put in just as much "work "with Paul Davis. My project manager was a flat out liar, and I caught him in several lies since I had cameras in my home during the restoration. Whenever I would ask my PM "what’s my budget for XYZ "I was responded with "well what do you want and let me see if I can get it "? Meaning PDR was keeping the difference not giving the customer the benefits from THIER insurance claim. I was also only given builder grade options. For example, I was offered $1.99 per sq ft options for flooring, when my insurance was paying out closer to $5 . I finally realized this about halfway through my restoration. My custom home that was once worth well over $200 per square foot is now an extremely cheap builder grade home. In the beginning, I felt very good about selecting them to complete my work and I felt as if things would be supervised well. This changed about halfway through my project, once they were paid. Closer to the end end of my project I did a walk-through and found hundreds of touchup issues, which is relatively normal for the amount of work I had done. They Would be "fixed "and I would recheck only to find several more. This happened approximately 10 times and took months and months and nothing was ever corrected. To this day, I still have closet doors that are primed only, with no paint. Due to them dragging their feet for so long, I finally gave up and just moved back into my house and cut my losses. In between one of my several touchup visits, they decided to complete the cleaning of my house, even though the project was far from over . However, when they came back for some more touchups, they just got the house completely dirty all over again. When I brought this to my PM attention, I was pretty much told too bad that they could only complete one cleaning…. I could easily find 100+ things wrong with my essentially "brand new" home. My LVP flooring does not have any underlayment, and it does not have any preinstalled with it like some manufacturers. I conformed with my flooring company (origin core solutions) that there absolutely needs to be underlayment. I even pulled up a section to double check because I had a strange suspicion they were cutting corners. The floor was not leveled before flooring was laid, there are significant dips throughout my first floor. Now I've got several sections of flooring that are destroyed less than a year in, because of them improperly laying it. There is dried grout/mortar all over my tile that will not come up. Paint all over my brand new flooring. Light fixtures severely off centered. so many things that should not happen with a project project manager involved. Long story short, I got MAYBE a 30k remodel for a 100k price tag. Had someone reached out to see how my project was going, I gladly would’ve shared my thoughts. But that never happened. Pictured is my off centered light, terrible tile job and improperly laid LVP. Run away from this company.

I have been trying to get Paul Davis to fulfill their warranty for a year and fix floor and ceiling that they screwed up. They have come out twice the first person said no problem we will fix it. Waited a couple months and no one ever came out to fix it. Flooring is so bad a family member (adult) tripped on the sunk in flooring causing the planks to break. I called again and this guy gave so many reasons why they won't cover the work. Let me list a few here. Flooring that wrapped won't be covered because when you put a level on it it letters meaning it is undeveloped (no it means there is undeveloped Flooring due to wrapped planks) in front room he said it is because I had a rocking chair on the Flooring they won't cover. Another spot they won't cover because they installed it wrong. Another they won't cover because they prepped floor wrong. The ceiling they won't cover in two spots and tried to say because my foundation shifted.

My home flooded 107 days ago, but who is counting, haha. I just signed the completion of service on the rehab today. I was referred to Paul Davis by my insurance company about 30 minutes after I came home and discovered the disaster. I did not shop around for disaster companies. Did everything go perfectly? No; there were some hiccups. What's important, though, is how Paul Davis' team responded to our concerns. Specifically, I'd like to call out some of the people that worked really hard to mitigate the disaster, address our concerns, and then put our house back together. Daniel, Chaston, Alec, John, Mark, Kerry & Jennifer, well done! Thank you! Also, the lead contract employee on my rehab project, Carlos, is an artist! Well done, Carlos!

HIGHLY recommend this company. We had a house fire and Daniel visited us to talk about the next step. He was informative and helpful. Kerry and her team were also excellent at communication. Taylor specifically I feel went above and beyond for us. Talking with me through every step they made. We are so thankful for the team that went to work for us from the very beginning of the process to delivery of our things at the very end.

Our long arduous journey of home restoration has finally come to an end. As with any home restoration after a major flooding event it had it's share of flaws. However Mark Walker (Paul Davis Project Manager) was the shining light, who with his stellar management skills, technical knowledge and polite behaviour deftly guided the project to a sound closure. It is individuals like Mark, that makes Paul Davis a reputed and respected company. Every Paul Davis professional that we encountered were stellar individuals. We would highly recommend Paul Davis for home restoration projects in and around Tulsa.

(Edited to add description of service and typo of name) Description of service: Total removal and restoration of our master bathroom from floor to ceiling including a large bay window. The good service I received was completely because of God using Lee Solis and Ridge Pace to manage the claim. I could tell that Lee and Ridge were Christians by the way they worked through all Paul Davis's problems and kept everyone moving forward. These issues were beyond Ridge's control, and he did a fantastic job of working with me during the entire restoration process. If someone else other than Ridge had managed the claim, I am not sure they would have been able to resolve the issues that Ridge was forced to overcome. There were a lot of challenges during our restoration that created some very stressful situations. This included, but are not limited to, the following problems: 1. The claim started mid-January and ended in mid-July. 2. It took approximately 4-6 weeks for the adjuster and Paul Davis to finish the quote and start the project. 3. My insurance company changed adjusters three times during this one claim because of adjusters leaving the company. 4. Paul Davis went bankrupt and closed the entire project down in the middle of the claim. 5. Vendor errors caused Paul Davis to fire one of the vendors and there were no similar vendors that were willing to complete the work mid-claim and mid-project. Paul Davis and Ridge had to overcome the fact that they fired the vendor and then required them to re-hire the same vendor they fired. This caused major issues during the restoration time frame and delayed completion of the claim for at least a month. Understanding these issues that Ridge resolved, I truly believe that God used him to keep everyone moving forward. Ridge displayed patience, humility, self-control, kindness and gentleness with the contractors and myself. These characteristics display a very mature individual that worked to maintain all aspects of the project. He represented the face of Paul Davis very well. He managed the contractors and myself in a way that allowed him to maintain a great working relationship. If someone else had managed the claim I am not sure they would have been able to resolve the issues. My rating of Paul Davis is completely a rating of Ridge Pace. He is the only one deserving of this rating.
