Costel did a great job inspecting our gut renovation. He caught things I never would’ve known to look for, like missing sediment traps on the furnaces, attic insulation levels that didn’t meet code, and other subtle issues that could have easily slipped through during a city inspection. What’s made his inspection even more valuable is how I’ve been able to use his report to push back on my builders to make sure everything gets done correctly. Before the inspection I wasn’t sure if it was going to be worth the money, but it’s been worth every penny and more. He was very professional, detailed, and seemed genuinely invested in helping me protect my investment. Highly recommend Costel to anyone buying, building, or renovating. His work gave me peace of mind and has probably saved me thousands in the long run.

Alex was extremely thorough during my home inspection. I walked through the process with him, and he took the time to explain everything in detail, which was incredibly helpful as a first-time homebuyer. I needed a detail oriented and qualified home inspector for a short notice home inspection, a week before closing! I worked with many in the past that I was not happy with. My real estate agent recommended one that she personally used for the last decade and that she recommends to her clients, I called Home Inspection Star Inc. and Costel was able to accommodate a short notice inspection. I was very pleased with his inspection, he was very detailed, he thoroughly was able to check a tight heavily insulated attic and a crawl space providing quality photographs. He explained to me everything he was doing and checking for while inspecting. I learned a lot from him about the home and properly caring for it. He provided me a very organized and detailed report same day, and has been also helpful post inspection with answering questions and guiding me on how to deal with recommendations he made on the report. I recommend and will be using again when needed!

Alex was great - we had to schedule our inspection last minute and they were super prompt with their communication the night before, Alex our inspector was there on time and was efficient, and took the time to explain everything he was going to put into the report. I came out of the inspection having learned a lot, and appreciate his willingness to take the time to explain everything. We had our report emailed to us later that day! Great service, fast scheduling and thorough inspection. The inspector was patient and answered all my questions and concerns about the house. He took the time to show me all the shut offs and where critical preventative maintenance needs to be performed. Thorough reporting which made me confident in closing on my home. Reasonable fees as well.
