I really wish I read the reviews for Max Appliance Repair prior to going with them. Our electric stove had been smelling like burnt plastic when we turned on the oven. The Max tech that came out told us that there were no issues with the wires or control board, and that the only thing he could possibly see causing the smell was the fan. He assured us there was no risk of a potential fire hazard. We replaced the fan for nearly $400 and the smell did not improve; in fact, it got worse. We had a follow-up scheduled, but before that happened there was a loud pop from the oven, sparks flying out from the back, and smoke everywhere. Clearly, a fire hazard. We didn't hear back from the company after that and this is what the back looked like when we had another repair tech come out and take a look. Basically, we threw away $400 and will likely have to buy a new range.

Dymtro was fantastic with my LG fridge. He was able to quickly identify the issue and fixed the fan within minutes. He was very knowledgeable about LG products. Friendly, professional and very knowledgeable particularly about LG products. I will definitely call Max Appliance and ask for him if I have other appliance issues.

Can’t give zero or negative, they are very fast in response but never go with them. The solutions for a problem are all assumptions, I went with them coz I was in an emergency but the technician who visited barely identified the problem and told me that he would fix it based on his assumption. Thank god I didn’t go with him, Hope this review helps someone and save some money, never ever go with them.

I had an issue with my refrigerator, I called Max Appliance Repair and the lady on the phone was nice. They had someone available the same day. Appreciate that. However!!! I initially kindly asked for the repair guy to call me about 20-30 min ahead because I also have other obligations and might not be at the place. He didn’t. Then, they charged me $610 for 10 min work!!!! He just filled some coolant because it was low! And charged me $275 for the coolant and $285 for 10 min of work!!! Unbelievable! If y’all want to get ripped off, go ahead hire this company! I will never do business with them again and I do NOT recommend anyone do that either! They have no mercy whatsoever! The excessive greed is literally killing this society!!!

Eli with Max Appliance Repair first came because Ice Maker was making way too much ice (overflowing). After repairs, I paid $300 + tip on February 26, 2025. Eli came back because ice maker was now ‘barely’ making ice. Eli said a complete cleaning was needed, cost $500. I certainly did not expect to have 'LESS FUNCTION AFTER REPAIR CALL THAN BEFORE REPAIR CALL'. I was given ZERO refund, which is the same ZERO my rating of Max Appliance Repair. Beware of Max! F. Cox

I recently had the most frustrating experience with Max Appliance Repair company. Our gas stove had an issue with proper lighting of the burners. The initial visit to diagnose the issue with Max Appliance Repair cost $89. The technician showed up on time, was friendly and courteous. However, he completely misdiagnosed the issue and made us purchase two unnecessary parts that cost over $100. Since the issue was not fixed after installing new parts, I kept calling Max Appliances to schedule a comeback visit, but they never showed up and at some point stopped answering my phone calls. I had to call another appliances repair company and pay another fee for a diagnostic visit. The technician from that company was very professional. He correctly diagnosed the issue and fixed it on the spot. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Max Appliance Repair company due to the low professional level of their technical staff, and lack of response to repeated calls requesting a resolution.

This was a terrible experience. After the first appointment the technician said it was a water level sensor. He stated he would be back the next day to finish the repair. He was a no show, finally they called and made 2 more appointments that was a no show AGAIN. I called repeatedly and finally he came back. Charged us almost $700 and still not fixed. We ended up buying a new one this weekend. The technician was friendly (that’s why a paid half up front - I KNOW THAT WAS DUMB on my part). I would never recommend this company. I honestly think this is the only bad review I have ever posted because I feel people deserve a 2nd chance, however I gave about 5 chances. NEVER AGAIN!
