For about 3 weeks me and Terminix have been going back and forth over my attic insulation work. The price of this work was $10300 which I paid in full. This is the before and after of the work that was done to say I am displeased and want and all my money back is an understatement. Yes I contacted them they agreed to fix it and did not fix it. Yes I’m getting my money back asap. I hired and wanted professionals this is what I got. Trash and just a mess. Who was suppose to clean this. Why?

So far No Good. 3 visits still have a problem in Baltimore. After 4 months the rodents came back to my wall. My house is 120 years old. The first technician was fine. The last two, not so much. If I have to hear I didn’t observe any activity again I’ll pull my hair out. Scheduling is disorganized. A tech showed up and the supervisor hadn’t called me to confirm the follow up. We have been on a 2000 dollar rodent control plan with a year guarantee for 5 months and no resolution. The techs need more training! Supervisors need to follow up and not ignore calls! This is a nightmare experience. As of 8.12.25, we have not heard back from management regarding our rodent issues!

I'm not happy with the billing process. The first person I spoke to was a female. She said I owed for several months. She typed or I could hear typing the whole conversation. Frustrating. The second guy told me he had prompts to read and could not research or resolve. The third call was the helper. She explained four billing cycles for different services. It is still confusing. There should be one bill, with each service broken down. I've had to buy my own stuff with wedding funds.

UPDATED: Still Billing Me After Admitting I Don’t Owe Them I bought my home earlier this year and immediately started receiving bills from Terminix addressed to "New Homeowner" for termite bait system services I never requested or authorized. I never had a contract with them. After filing a complaint with the Arkansas Attorney General, Terminix formally responded in writing stating I had no balance, no account, and would not be contacted again. Problem solved, right? Nope. I just received another bill, now marked "PAST DUE", for the same unauthorized service — even after they told the AG’s office they wouldn’t contact me again. This isn’t a billing error — it’s a pattern of behavior. If you’re a new homeowner, double-check your mail. They seem to rely on people paying these invoices without realizing there was never an agreement in the first place. I wouldn’t trust this company with anything. Document everything and go straight to your state attorney general if this happens to you. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Unsolicited Billing — No Contract, No Service, Still Getting Bills I bought my home in March and have never had any agreement with Terminix — yet they keep sending me monthly bills for a "Termite Bait System" I never asked for, never authorized, and do not want. They send these invoices addressed only to "New Home Owner" at my address, hoping I’ll just pay for services I never agreed to. It’s wasteful, misleading, and unethical. I’ve tried to tell them to stop, and I’ve never seen them actually perform any service here — yet the bills keep coming. New homeowners, double-check your mail and do not pay for anything you didn’t sign up for. I wouldn’t trust any company that thinks this is acceptable business practice.

Update: Never call Terminix for an ant problem—they will mislead you and make it seem worse than it is. Find a local, honest pest control company. What should’ve been a basic 1-time ant treatment turned into their rep pushing my wife into $157/month in contracts and nearly $500 in upfront fees. Then at 10:30PM, he texted me defending his actions and claiming he never mentioned termites. I have proof. Terminix allowed this to happen and has shown no accountability. This wasn’t a misunderstanding—it was a highly questionable sales tactic. You could end up stuck in overpriced plans you didn’t want, and then be told it’s your fault. We are filing complaints with the BBB, the Massachusetts Attorney General, and disputing the charges. If you value your money and peace of mind, look elsewhere. Original Review: This is a warning about our experience with Terminix and their representative, Justin. We reached out for help with an ant problem, nothing more. Instead, Justin came to our home and persuaded my wife to sign a $1,200 termite treatment agreement using alarming and inaccurate statements like "ants eat termites" and encouraging her to "Google it." This misinformation led to us being sold a service we didn’t ask for or need. Let me be crystal clear: We do not have termites. We never called about termites. We only wanted ant control. After my wife signed the agreement (thinking the $325 payment was a termite down payment), I called Justin the same day to cancel. I pointed out the inaccuracies and told him we had no interest in termite treatment. He agreed it would be canceled and said we’d only be charged $57/month for ant service. We thought the issue was resolved. Then the next day, we saw a $325 charge on our credit card. When I called Terminix, I was told it was for the ant service—not termites. That was never explained to us. The pricing was unclear, and this added confusion felt deliberate. When I spoke with customer service, the response was simply: "Your wife signed it, sir." There was no concern about the rep’s conduct, no apology, and no resolution offered. The technician who came out confirmed we did not have termites and said the termite recommendation didn’t make sense. Still, no one at Terminix followed up or took responsibility. We’ve been customers for years and have spent thousands on rodent and nesting services at this same location. This is how we were treated? We are asking for the following: A full refund of the $325 charge, which we believe was applied under misrepresented circumstances (a $114 charge was also made but seems to have been reversed). Written confirmation that all contracts are canceled. Proof that the only active agreement is the $57/month ant plan and that no additional charges will occur. If this is not resolved within 48 hours, we’ll be: Filing formal complaints with the MA Attorney General, BBB, and Consumer Protection. Sharing this experience publicly across Google, Yelp, Facebook, and other consumer platforms. Disputing the $439 total as an unauthorized charge with our credit card company. This experience was disappointing and has damaged our trust in this company. We’re sharing this not just for ourselves, but to make others aware so they don’t end up in a similar situation. We’re willing to continue at the original $57/month rate if the refund is issued and expectations are clarified. Otherwise, we’ve canceled all services and are prepared to take further action if necessary.

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service and No Resolution I hired Terminix in New Jersey to address a raccoon issue in my attic, but after three visits, the problem was never resolved. Each time, the technician arrived unprepared—either without the proper-sized ladder or the right trapping equipment. Rather than addressing the actual issue, he simply sprayed disinfectant in the attic and left without communicating what was done. Despite multiple follow-ups, I continued to receive vague excuses. One scheduled appointment was especially frustrating: instead of a technician coming to resolve the issue, I received a call from a sales representative—completely unrelated to the service I needed. I paid over $1,000 and still have the same problem I started with. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to explore more reliable wildlife control companies before choosing Terminix.

The reason why I’m giving these guys a bad review is because of their customer service as well as their fake promises and the breach of contract they end up putting the bait stations around my home and I end up having some termites in my home that was eaten up my wood floor They came over and did a floor test said it’s because I had a little water damage moisture in my floor and by my front door, I told them that it wasn’t like that when I left and I came back from out of town then they proceeded after I had a video termites inside of my home then they then they say That my the reason why I end up having termites because I had water and I told them that there’s they trying to make every excuse in the book not to write up a claim for termites to replace my floor. I believe that termite Terminix is not a good company. I believe they’re not trusted. I believe they’re only in for the money I paid $1000 to put down Terminix bait stations then they gonna try to charge me. That’s what that which is their words to charge me to put the trench around my home and after in the insurance policy supposed to said that hey if you have no questions, ask if you’re not having termites or something like that, you know we’re gonna take care of it and then try to offer me a pest control on top of that And you know I just don’t believe that they’re the best company at all. I really believe that they owe it to the Memphis area in every Terminix company. I’m highly upset and disrespected in my own home. The CEO and the CFO should be the same of the shelves as human beings for this type of company.
