911 Service Today

I am not the reviewing type, but I wanted to come here and sing praises for 911 Service Today. The short story is that I had another company come out for a diagnosis plus five times to fix my hot water heater tank and ended up with a proposal that meant spending well over $3,000 to correct the problem (labor only); 911 came out and I had hot water flowing again after just two hours of their time. The longer version of the story is that while the first company correctly diagnosed that I needed to replace the heat sensor, they ordered elements from the manufacturer (A.O. Smith) that were shipped to me quickly in a large box. Inside was one medium box and two smaller boxes that were cylindrical in shape and about 18 inches long. They told me they did not need to use these parts and I should just save in case I needed in the future. I did this assuming those boxes indeed contained pipes or something which was not needed. Replacing the elements from the medium box, my hot water heater continued having problems and the initial service company came out four more times. Ultimately, they told me I needed to replace the hot water heater at a labor cost of over $3,000 (including the cost of almost $1,200 to repair my HWH (which was never done). As it turned out, those two ‘extraneous’ boxes contained new heat sensors for the top and bottom tank. In Googling the error codes, I could tell my hot water heater was crying out for a new heat sensor. 911 came out, they quickly determined that those boxes contained the key part needed and installed and everything is good now. They removed the old and defective heat element (shown on the left in the picture below) from the top tank and replaced it with a new one from the mystery box (shown on right side of picture). I am very happy with 911 Service Today, and I highly recommend.

I’ve relied on 911 Service for years, and they’ve consistently been fantastic. My favorite technician, Blair, has practically become part of the household at this point. I joke that he’s serviced every appliance in the house, along with the past and present versions of those same appliances. Blair is always professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain what’s going on, gets repairs done efficiently, and never tries to upsell anything unnecessary. It’s rare to find someone so reliable and genuinely skilled. If you want an appliance repair company you can trust and a technician who knows his craft inside and out, 911 Service and Blair are the way to go. Highly recommend.

Felt totally at ease with these professionals in my home. Stanley, Jamie, and Blaire were knowledgeable, efficient and accommodating. Not to mention entertaining: My teenage son said "they should have a YouTube channel called ‘Appliance Banter’, they’d get famous". Totally agree. Had to take time off work to make the repair window which wasn’t great but that’s how these things are, and at least it was an entertaining afternoon. Happy to recommend

Blair has serviced my Miele coffee machine twice now and has done an outstanding job. Not only did he fix it, but he also gave me tips on how to upkeep my coffee machine so that issues do not persist. He is great and I would recommend him to anyone!

911 Service was great. From scheduling the appt. to the service technician arriving on time. Andrew Taylor was professional, friendly, and explained in great detail the issues with our stove. Andrew also had a great sense of humor!!! While it took a few weeks to get the parts their office was efficient and kept us in the loop. We would definitely use them again in the future for any appliance repair. Great communication is so important and they exceeded in this department.

We had a great experience with this company. Unfortunately our dishwasher required expensive parts that would take weeks to ship, but we got great advice about the best way forward. Additionally, our technician, Blair, helped trouble shoot problems with our oven and burners that works no longer ignite. He was patient and answered helped us triage multiple appliance problems! This company adds a helpful personal touch. Thank you!

Torrey repaired our Whirlpool refrigerator water dispenser & ice maker over 3 visits- 1st diagnosing the problem, next ordering & installing the filter housing, and then returning on Thanksgiving eve to unclog our frozen ice maker and get it operational. There was no charge for the final visit to repair the ice maker as it was part of the original diagnosis and repair. I appreciate Torrey’s knowledge, experience and conscientiousness in completing our refrigerator repair. My only gripe is with the Whirlpool manufacturer who can’t build a water filter head that is sturdy enough to withstand a twice a year filter replacement without breaking down. The fridge interior LED light panel breakdown is another issue. It’s a very expensive part replacement and so unnecessary if we still had a simple screw in or pop in light bulb for interior fridge lighting. Can you say "built in obsolescence"? Praise for 911 Appliance Service and cynicism for Whirlpool.
