Dickson Brothers Shoe & Leather Care

I brought my boots here to get repaired. I have Ariat boots that I wear to ride horses and compete. The soles were completely falling apart, and I brought them to the Dickson Brothers and I do not regret. These guys did a fabulous job and it was worth the wait. They are the best and busy for a reason because they do such an excellent and thorough job! Not to mention they are the kindest people I have ever met. I really appreciate their good work and when I picked my boots up, I went ahead and dropped off a purse that needed work. I definitely recommend!

I found Dickson Brothers a couple of years ago when I was looking for someone who could help me repair/maintain/protect my leather boots. At the time, I was considering shipping them out of state because I didn't know there was anyone around that could help me. Luckily, I found Oakley and his crew and I started dropping off boots a pair or so at a time, and he has now helped me with 12+ pairs of boots I own, my wife's boots, and countless other that I have referred to Dickson Brothers. When I first went into his shop, I could tell how enthusiastic Oakley was about his craft. He explained some of his family history with the business and that he was in the beginnings of rebuilding the business to what it had been. I was after quality work and supporting a local business so this was a great opportunity for both of those. One thing that has always stuck out with me was how friendly and accommodating Oakley has been. I've never been to his shop without spending a few minutes just talking about life and leather with Oakley. Most of my work wasn't on a tight time frame, and I'm a believer in quality isn't always quick. However, when I needed a pair repaired and cleaned up for a wedding, they were more than willing to help me out. After spending a small fortune on my boots, I'm glad to have found Dickson Brothers and I tell everyone I can to go see him and his team if you have any shoe or leather needs. Some examples of work that I have had done include: -Installing protective soles on my leather sole western boots, allowing me to wear more of my boots to work that I couldn't before -Installing new heels and helping me maintain my work boots to ensure a long life and lots of work accomplished -Discussing options and helping me change the color of the heels and soles of a pair of snake skin boots to match my style better -Cleaning and conditioning my boots to help them look and feel better than new -Giving advice and pointers and how to properly maintain my leather. He will usually even answer questions for you if you message home on social media

These guys are true craftsman that really care about what they do. Super knowledgeable and friendly, they helped me pick out new treads for my old, worn out boots and breathe new life into them. I’d definitely recommend stopping in if you have an old pair of shoes that could use a refresh - or any repair for that matter!

It is a great shop and I was very satisfied with the way my shoes were repaired. I recieved a pair of shoes that had major flaws from the factory, I got them fixed and now they look brand new. I will be returning again for my future shoe repair needs.

I dropped off a bag here a week ago to have them tell me " he doesn’t feel comfortable with the amount of work on dying the bag " witch I can understand, but why did it take him that long to decide?? He had to call / text / video chat with other cobblers to see if he could do the job. When I went into the store he said he had been trained by some of the best upstate which is where he moved back from. You would think they would care for your items when being stored in there store. Nope not the thing they had my 4k bag under other items being squished in a plastic bag. I just wish they hadn’t wasted my time like they did. I asked him more than 3 times if you don’t feel comfortable or have the skills it’s ok no hard feeling. He said " I have the skills that’s not the problem " so why couldn’t you dye my bag? I hope others have a better experience and help here. The young lady was very nice and helpful at the front. Last thing, why have a phone line if you’re not going to Answer the phone??

Picked up my son’s boots yesterday and they looked better than I ever imagined! I believe shoes tell a story and Dickson Brothers does an amazing job restoring shoes to their potential and then some allowing them to live on! My son is passionate about his boots and missed them terribly but getting them back was well worth it. Five stars from service to communication to quality!
