Wow! I can't say enough good things about First appliance repair and Oscar! My dryer stopped working right in the middle of laundry day, and I was really stressed out. I called First appliance repair, and they sent Oscar over the same day. He was super friendly and really knew his stuff. He found the issue quickly and had my dryer running again in under an hour. The pricing was fair, and I felt like I got great value for the service. I'm so happy, and I will definitely call them again if I need repairs!

The first time we used this company they did a great job. I called them again to fix a washer leak. We have stacked washer/dryer, which we explained in our initial call that it might need two people, and the guy who came out asked for my help to take the heavy dryer off the washer, which I could hardly lift, and it hurt my arm. They got the part in one day. That was amazing. They fixed the washer, but I could not lift the dryer back up. So he just left, saying he would get help. Never happened, and my laundry room sat torn apart for over a week. I called many many times times, they promised to get people out to finish, and no one came and no return calls (which you will see in other reviews here complaining about this issue as well.) When people did not show, they never called to say the person was not coming, so we waited for 4 hours for nothing. I finally had to threaten to contest the 1/2 payment I already made (required to start the job) and take them to small claims court to get my money back to pay someone else to finish the job. FINALLY, the manager called and promised to send someone on Friday and my neighbor said he would help lift the dryer. They didn’t show, they did not call. I tried to call and got an AI "rep" who claimed they were a real person. It was not and very obvious. Another weekend with no laundry. So I called again on Monday, the manager called back and said they would send two people between 6 and 8 that day. Only surprise, only one guy showed up, the other was 90 minutes away and could not arrive before 8 PM. So even this promise was not fulfilled. AGAIN! But at least this guy (Oscar) knew the products well and had the idea to take the dryer apart to make it less heavy, so we could easily move it now, and he reassembled it all. Took two hours, and this tech said it never needed to be take down in the first place, as moving it back 6" would have worked just fine. So they sent someone who was not experienced the first time. Sigh. So done after over 1 week of many calls and no shows. Then they wanted full payment. No offer of a discount because of the week+ of hell they put us through. Just a "we are sorry." I felt a discount should have been offered. Very disappointed in this service this time and not sure I would use them again given all this nonsense. Nor can I recommend them now, unless they guarantee Oscar will do the work. But two stars because it did get fixed eventually and the second tech knew the units and solved the problem with help from me, again. But seriously, I should never have been asked to help move the dryer either time. Not professional at all.
