Overall great experience, Mark S was very nice! Repairs were covered under our protection plan, so unsure what it would of costs. But Mark S was punctual and knowledgeable. Our repair was done very quickly. Already finished a load of laundry since he left!
Our technician was extremely knowledgeable and fixed our issue right away. He was very kind as well, and we enjoyed having him stop by to help us! So thankful for a really great customer experience from Sears Appliance Repair.
Terrible!!! I only gave 1 star because a negative was not an option. Our Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator , the ice maker lasts about 3 years. However, this time it has taken 4 technicians, 4 trips, appointments where we must be available between 8-5, and with each technician the fridge has developed additional issues, to the extent on 8/13/2025, while the tech was working on it there was a loud pop. After which, he install a new compressor and ice maker and then the tech gathered his tools, said give it 24 hours to cool, and he left. Within a few hours we realized the fridge wasn’t cooling. Our attempts to contact Sears Home Warranty have only resulted in promised return phone calls which are continually being bumped back over the course of two days, at this point.
Mark was awesome and quick. Brought back fond memories of listening to my dad fix things that brought on a lot of cursing and grunting. Although Mark left out the cursing. He still sounded like my dad nonetheless. He fixed my angry dryer very quickly and didn’t even mind my pups inspecting him. I hope they send him out again if my dryer decides to growl at me again. Thankfully we bought the warranty on the set so I don’t know how much it would cost to fix. I called this in on Monday and he came promptly Wednesday(today) morning and fixed it quickly. He even waited for me to come back from dropping off my daughter since she decided today of all days to miss the bus. Overall he was a very polite and respectful gentleman. Give that man a Xmas bonus. He seems to have great reviews that people are naming him by his first name.
Sear has been sending their tech to repair my LG fridge since September and they have yet to repair my fridge! They have sent 4 different technicine out, each order the same part. One said it was the wrong but they ordered one part 3 different time. Then they order a different part and ordered that part twice and it still didn't fix it. Last week when the tech came out I was told that the big boss, Rob Gurlock only allotted 30 minutes for him to be out. So the tech ordered the same part and we had to make another appointment fir him to come back today to install it. He wasn't for sure if he fixed the problem or not. I have the home warrenty through American Home Sheild, so that's how I ended up with Sears. AHS would not send someone else to try and fix it, even though I requested another company to come out! I was without a fridge since Sept, I ended up having to purchase a mini fridge to store milk, eggs and cheese because there is a toddler in the house that needed to eat. Sears nor AHS covered the food that had to be thrown away. AHS gave 100.00 on the food but would not cover the total lost, and ofcourse Sears didn't cover anything! Now I have to wait and see if what your techician did today was a fix, if not, I have to make another appointment for them to come back again! This is crazy that I have to go through all this just to get my fridge repaired! If it can't be fixed, and it don't look like it can, let AHS know this so they can replace my fridge ir send someone out that knows what they're doing! Truely the 4 different tech that came to my house do not! At this point, I din't know whose the worse, Sears or AHS, they're both are worthless!
The technician did technically make my furnace work. However the quality of work he did is super questionable I brought up the fact that the other wires inside the unit look almost as bad as the one that failed but the technician insisted that because the furnace did come on that the job was done This is totally unacceptable! This is actually quite dangerous! Why would someone leave an elderly widows home wiring like this? Especially when everything is under warranty! I'm seriously considering taking these photos to the local paper! Why only fix one jumper when the whole set is compromised? Who does that? This could have taken approximately 20 minutes more to have a safe system ready for summer. I have left the unit disconnected for fear of electric fire since my last "service".
Will not give Sears my business if possible. Service technician never showed up, never reached out or communicated to inform us of any changes. I tried to contact Sears and they no longer have human customer service representatives. The following day they sent an automated email asking if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. It is disappointing if Sears believes this is acceptable customer service. Good luck to you!
