Sears Appliance Repair

This technician originally visited on 14 Nov to replace cord and terminal block - which did not fix issue. Same technician returned 20 Nov - asked what the issue was. Explained that we had a virtual visit (phone conversation) on 18 Nov and described the issue in detail to the technician on the phone. The phone conversation ended with the technician promising to study schematics and to provide info to technician assigned to our house. Technician said he was not contacted nor had any knowledge of the virtual visit. Explained issue to him. Technician installed a new motherboard. Asked him to verify the oven was working properly. Said he tested everything and all was working properly. Said he also tested oven to 150 degrees. Told him that the issue was that the oven only reached 230 degrees after 45 minutes - despite the control set to 400 degrees. Again asked him to wait until temperature reached 400 degrees to verify the issue was resolved. He said he didn’t have time to watch the temperature rise because he had eight other stops to make. He packed up his tools and left. I immediately set the temperature to 400 degrees and the temperature only reached 250 degrees after 45 minutes. This visit is the 4th visit by technicians and the oven is still broken!!

Never use a company that makes it impossible to talk to a human. Pretty sure this company actually doesn’t exist. Their "automated" system set up an appointment for me and of course, their technician never came. What made it worse is that I could never talk to an actual person for resolution. Just kept getting their preprogrammed messages that never confirmed or denied if I would ever get a technician

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ronnie was super polite, professional, and efficient! He took our dryer completely apart, fixed the issue in no time, and made sure everything was working perfectly before he left. He was also very patient and helpful while we handled the payment process. We truly appreciate his excellent service and would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs dryer vent repairs!

Danny was very nice and professional. However, he was not able to get my washer fixed. He and I discussed having a new washer delivered since I have had so many people out here to fix it and they have not been able to. I expect to hear from him on Monday. He was here for at least 3 1/2 hours.

Totally AI, 3 people came to house, 3 separate times, 2 ordered parts, 3 different diagnosis. No one fixed it. They took parts. Have not been reimbursed. No representative to talk to, Totally AI. Website not helpfu

Friday Sears cancelled appointment due to them overbooking. Today, technician went to wrong house. There is no number to get the Justin H to come back. Now they want me to reschedule again for their negligence. The call center is overseas, loud, and hard to clearly communicate with. They lack the power to get a timely resolution. Severely disappointed in Sears Home Services. I’d think twice before getting an appliance repair warranty with this company.

The techs were great but the company itself was horrible. It took 5 appointments over 18 days and 3 of those were no-shows that had to be rescheduled. The 18 days doesn’t even include the 7 days between the time I contacted the company and the first available appointment to start the process. If this service provider is the best one Lowe’s Protection plan can work with, I will NEVER buy the protection plan again.
