I was so impressed with the professionalism and honesty of the team we worked with at Cal-Tek. Our technician was so nice and easy to work with, and I would absolutely call them first for any needed appliance repairs.

I don't think I've ever met any home service provider as professional and personable as Calvin from CalTek. He chatted with my son for 20 minutes (and even gave my dog attention) while he expertly fixed our oven. I highly recommend them!

Until now I've only ever done positive reviews for businesses I've worked with. But my experience with CalTek was bad enough to get me to write my first poor review. We had a heat element go out in our oven and needed to have a new one installed. I called CalTek to have them do the job. I provided a photo of the part, showing how it was broken, the brand and serial number of our oven so they could order the part. CalTek explained that they still needed to send someone out to diagnose the oven themselves and that would cost $135 to have someone come out to do this but this would be put toward the cost of the repair. This is a common practice for home services businesses as a way to ensure they get paid for their time and I'm totally fine with this practice. We scheduled the appointment, Calvin arrived at my house, took the same photo I had already provided him of the part, and of brand and serial number of my oven so he could order the part, then left 10 minutes later stating that he would send an invoice over for the cost of the part and installation once he had that info from the manufacturer. I paid the initial $135 for the diagnosis and waited for the remaining part and install cost. 2 days later I received an invoice for $560 for the part and install. When I reminded him that the initial $135 diagnosis fee was supposed to go toward the install job they insisted it was a totally separate fee - which was different than what was discussed when we set the initial appointment. They also said I never provided the initial photos but I was able to show them the text thread and photos I had sent before making the initial appointment. Even though it was excessive, I still would have paid them to install the part if they had kept their word by applying the $135 diagnosis cost toward the $560 part & installation. But when they didn't keep their word, I decided not to go any further working with them. In the end, I figured out a way to order the $100 part from the MFG myself and had an electrician install the new part for $100. I'm still floored they were going to charge me an ADDITIONAL $560 to do this.

We were very impressed by Calvin, the owner of CalTek. He was able to diagnose our Speed Queen washing machine issue after two other repair companies couldn't. It was a weird one, but he nailed it AND made a video so we could see it for ourselves. This guy is as honest as he is knowledgeable. He could have easily talked us into an expensive repair that would have MAYBE solved the problem. Instead, he levelled with us about the chances so we could make an informed decision. We've decided to replace the machine, but we will definitely call CalTek again and recommend them to others.

When the Fridge is down Caltek comes around! Fridge went out at night and Caltek came out first thing in the morning. The window was from 8AM - noon and they called to see if they could come early. For this instance we have taken them anytime! T.J. arrived 20 minutes early and had my fridge back running in no time. Fortunately we did not lose much. Polite, courteous, and professional.

It was my first time using CalTek as my appliance repair provider. My Tech "Calvin" did a fantastic job servicing my gas stove and microwave. He was professional yet personable. He showed up within the 9-1 window that I was scheduled for. He accessed, diagnosed the problems with my Frigidaire appliances, and fixed them in a timely manner. He thoroughly explained what caused the issues and what he did to repair them. I was prepared to hear that I needed to replace one or both of my appliances, I'm grateful that I didn't have to. Caltek Service was top-notch and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this company!
