Alex has extensive knowledge in home inspections. He has excellent attention to detail and provides great communication in real-time on home issues. He uses the latest technology which enhances the experience. Alex has expertise in "older" homes which was of great benefit to the purchase of my home. Alexander came to do a home inspection for a vacant home we are selling. Left the baseboard heaters full blast for multiple days in 70 degree weather so I can’t wait to see our electric bill and he left our front glass door open so it was just bashing against the side of our house for multiple days. Our neighbor told us this morning they noticed and shut it. DO BETTER. Updated review: After leaving my initial review, I called Alexander to discuss my concerns about his handling of our home inspection, hoping this feedback would encourage a more mindful approach in the future. Unfortunately, he responded aggressively, blamed us for everything, and dismissed the issues, saying it "wasn’t a big deal." He then offered to send a $50 check to cover the added electricity costs—a gesture that could have been appreciated if he hadn’t been yelling while offering it. I respectfully declined the money, as this wasn’t about compensation; it was about accountability. Oddly, he then accused me of trying to extort him, even after I declined his offer, which made no sense. Initially, I planned to remove my review, but after his hostile response, I believe it’s important to keep it up. I didn’t even mention all of the issues in the inspection: 1. Alexander didn’t bring his own ladder, instead using ours, and then left it out in the middle of the garage. Apparently, putting it back was too much effort. 2. He reported that the air conditioning didn’t work, which was inaccurate. We demonstrated to the new homeowners that it did, in fact, work. It’s an older unit, so it may take a moment to kick on, but it did cool the house effectively once it got going. 3. Regarding the baseboard heaters, he seemed confused by the replacement knobs. These replacements are common since the original plastic knobs break easily, and while the new ones don’t have labeled on/off positions, they click audibly when turned on and off. I would expect a professional inspector to figure that out. Ultimately, I was just looking for a genuine apology, especially given the clear mistakes. Unfortunately, instead of taking responsibility, he chose hostility. Very disappointing.

My husband decided to go with Alexander for our home inspection because of his high Google ratings. I'm so glad he did! Alexander was very knowledgeable and was able to explain everything to my husband and I. He even gave us recommendations on how to fix some of the issues found in the inspection. He was able to work with our schedule, and was very responsive throughout the process. We also found that Northern Pride was priced more competitively than some of the other companies we reached out to. We highly recommend Alexander!

Highly recommend Alexander for your home inspection. He was early to our appointment. We were very impressed with his background in the military doing everything under the sun from concrete to construction. He is very honest, detailed, and takes care to look at everything thoroughly. He even showed us how to do preventive maintenance on items in our new home to save us money down the road. His radon inspection price is less than half of other companies and he uses a high quality machine just like all the others do. Thank you for a wonderful experience as a first time buyer who was nervous about the inspection process. He left us with a list of things to check on and service by season also!
