Critter Control of Columbus

I would not recommend Critter Control based on my experience. We originally hired them for an inspection because we thought there might be a dead rodent in our crawlspace (there wasn’t). Instead, they recommended sealing gaps in the foundation. From the very beginning, communication was terrible. They never told us when they’d be coming out—only sent an invoice afterward. The only way we even knew they showed up was by checking our Ring cameras. They came out multiple times without notice, and when I raised concerns about this, their response was to tell me to "double check" their work and call if I had issues. Turns out, the work was sloppy and incomplete. They only sealed a handful of gaps at the front of the house, completely ignoring the sides and back, and even missed a 6-foot opening under our bay windows. When I called, they wouldn’t send anyone back right away. Instead, they insisted on sending a supervisor first, and only then would they schedule someone to fix it. I asked them to notify me when someone would be coming out and they didn’t give me a call until 20 minutes before they showed up! Luckily I was home at the time. Thankfully, the supervisor happened to bring someone with him that day who sealed the missed areas. While they were here, the supervisor mentioned finding bat droppings and said he needed to check my attic—but he never actually did. Instead, after leaving, they emailed me a $2,000+ quote for bat work they never properly inspected for. To me, that felt pushy and unprofessional. The whole job took three separate visits for what should have been a straightforward project, and we were never once given clear updates or a proper walk-through when the work was "finished." The only positive was they eventually took $100 off the sealing service—but that hardly makes up for the stress and poor communication. Bottom line: Critter Control was unprofessional, disorganized, and did not deliver the quality of service we paid for.

Anthony is great! He takes the extra time to listen and give possible solutions to the issues. He seems very knowledgeable and is looking out for the customer's best interest which is rare. He definitely goes above and beyond.

Immediate response! Clinton, professional assigned to my home, provided detailed information about the assessment of my problem, solutions and recommendations. He kept me updated daily. I appreciate the work and enthusiasm for his job this young professional displayed.

With three days to go before leaving for Milwaukee we accidentally trapped a racoon in the basement. Needless to say panic ensued. After several disappointing calls to other services, I got ahold of Pam at Critter Control. She heard the panic in my voice and was immediately calming and helpful. She work hard to get a tech to us ASAP. Within 2 hours Anthony was at our door. He saw the panic on my face and was understanding. After explaining our time cruch Anthony worked for an hour to try to solve the problem immediately. Unfortunately the racoon was not on board. Anthony has kept in contact with us and is working with the people watching our house. Thank you Critter Control for saving our vacation.

Waste of $500+. DO NOT HIRE!! They left traps in my yard for 3 weeks. Never changed tactics when it didn't work. At the final visit the worker filled in the hole to make it seem as though the groundhog was caught, when it clearly was still living in my yard. There was no response from the office after several messages were left asking why the traps were removed when the vermin was still obviously present.

I called Critter Control because I started hearing an animal scratching at something and running underneath the flat rubber roof in my bedroom. The inspector (I believe his name was Quentin) did a visual inspection and then went to the roof, where after a few minutes he said that he didn't see any hole but it would be "best practice" to set a live trap on top of the roof to catch the animal...the problem is, the roof is right next to a huge oak tree, so a trap would inevitably catch the wildlife in the tree and not necessarily catch the animal getting into the roof. I tried to ask follow-up questions about what the inspector was seeing and what other avenues an animal would have to get into the roof, but he kept going back to setting a life trap on the roof––I didn't feel like he was really listening to me, but just rehearsing a script on how to upsell the live trap services. Ultimately, I got a second opinion and they found a huge hole in the rubber roof––big enough that it should have been discovered by Critter Control when they came out. I was super disappointed and based on my experience, I definitely would not use their services in the future.
