Kelleher HVAC

From the time that Kelleher performed a site visit to determine equipment size and pricing, to final installation, their overall performance was excellent. Our HVAC system was 18 years old, so we decided to invest in two new heat pumps and two air handling units. Kelleher offers Trane equipment and we decided on a Seer2 rating of about 20. Additionally, the units installed feature variable air technology. The cost estimate was very reasonable, and the work was performed in two days. The installation crew was well organized and executed the work in high, workmanship manner. In short, they were experienced tradesmen and did not disappoint. There are many competing HVAC companies in the Richmond, VA area, however Kelleher is in the top 1% for quality, performance, and reliability.

WOW! I called at 10 AM, they arrived at 2PM for a heating issue with my gas furnace, problem solved. They performed a spring service on the AC unit before we need to turn the unit on, loaded it up for the season and off they went. Great service, reasonable price and very timely. Seasonal maintenance. Badda Bing. I highly recommend.

The gentleman that came to our house was knowledgeable, professional and did a fantastic job. Both of our systems are working better than they have in a couple of years. It turns out the company we had before was not actually cleaning anything. We had no way of knowing that, but Kelleher took care of it!!! Photo is what he found from a system that was allegedly claimed by someone else 2 weeks ago.

We had our annual service on our furnace. Larry was very polite, professional and explained the services he performed today. He was genuinely concerned about the functioning of our furnace. Cindy is great with the scheduling and notification of Larry’s arrival. Other service calls with Kelleher have been consistent to this experience. We’ve been a customer for 29 are satisfied.

The HVAC work was fine, but the $216/hour labor rate (after a $115 minimum service fee) is too expensive. I’ll be using a different company next time — even a flat $150/hour with a $150 minimum would have cost me less than what I paid at Kelleher, even with a discount. UPDATE: The also like to ask you resubmit a check after the first one is cleared. A very mindful practice indeed.

Seth and Kelleher were recommended to me by a neighbor when my motor blower broke during the brutal freezing temps in January. It was a very stressful time and it was important to me to make informed decisions about which company to contract with and whether I was ready to replace my aging HVAC and upgrade my unit. Seth is super down to earth and relatable, listened to my concerns and the things that were the most important to me, presented me with all the options in a non-pressuring way, shared his knowledge and expertise, and seemed genuinely invested in supporting me to make a decision that most aligned with my values. Last week my husband to request an oil delivery. We always get 100 gallons. Have never gotten any amount over that for the past 7 years. My husband asked for the 100 gallons. I looked at my bank account and we had a $975 bill. This was not in our budget. My husband called to ask what the charge was for. They filled out tank up. 244 gallons. This is a huge financial burden for our family. My husband was told they didn't know what happened. The woman he spoke to didn't take the order. Basically not her problem. I will not be ordering oil from Kelleher again.
