Whole roof replacement. Cost $13k The roof looks decent but we definitely would not use them in the future after our experience. The sales experience was great however the production did not match. 1. Never met the project manager until there was an issue. A crew not in a uniform or in company marked vehicles just showed up knocking on the door. 2. Flashing work looked as if a first timer did it. They agreed and came out to redo the flashing. 3. The bay windows shingles are not sitting flat and they ignored that. 4. There was a piece of flashing installed by a pest removal company above our covered porch and was removed by the roofers but not replaced. They sent someone to repair it and they ran short by about 5 feet and we never heard from them regarding coming out to finished and they never came back. 5. They left an absolute mess in the attic. Saw dust and chunks of wood everywhere including our storage space and all over the insulation. Absolutely no attempt to clean up the mess. 6. We asked that they not use tarps on our extensive landscape and they agreed wood would be best. They used tarps anyways even though it was 90 degrees out. Update as of 11/18/25 They did reach out saying that they would resolve the issues however after three weeks they have not scheduled us, been out to the house or returned our messages. I was more than willing to update our review and was hoping they would be responsible and take care of the issues. Now that they let the back wall remain unsealed we now have to have Propestman come back out and reseal their original work the roofers removed at our cost because mice are coming in that opening so we'll also have to bait and pay for that as well. They definitely won't be earning my business again.
Great customer service from start to finish! Love the roof choices and especially the one we chose. Appreciate the sales rep, Victor, discussing concerns with the claims adjustor's "original plan." Upon his willingness to lobby for what we needed our entire roof was replaced not just repaired as originally planned by insurance company. Doug, the project manager was professional and personable. He did a great job communicating with everyone involved including our solar panel expert, making the project efficient and painless. The guys who installed the roof...WOW! They were awesome! They arrived before the sun was even up and worked the entire day, except approx 30 minutes for lunch break. Approx 12 hour work day...hard workers and couldn't even tell they had been here because the area was cleaned up so well when they had finished the job! And finally, the office staff/billing dept...not a whole lot of contact required but professional and efficient when necessary. Appreciate their assistance and great customer service. Definitely would recommend Mr. Roof!
Mr Roof arrived on time and got to business. It was a hot humid day and we did get a downpour in the middle of the installation. However, they covered up the roof, waited it out, and completed the roof that day. I love it! My neighbors have high praise for the quality and look of the roof. Afterwards, they cleaned up, removed any errant nails, and other materials. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family when they need a new roof!
What Went Well: My wife and I recently had our roof and gutters replaced. The initial sales process was straightforward and informative. The salesperson took the time to walk us through our options and genuinely seemed to care about helping us make the right decision. Once we booked, they told us we’d hear back in a couple of weeks, and they followed through around that timeframe, which felt reasonable. I also want to recognize the office administrator she did everything she could to help us throughout the process, even when things got frustrating. Additionally, I appreciated the transparency of the salesperson, even though I feel we ended up overpaying compared to other companies. ⸻ What Didn’t: Unfortunately, the quality of the installation and communication after booking were a major letdown. After the roof was completed, I noticed damage to the metal underneath the gutters, which wasn’t being replaced. The sheathing around the chimney was also poorly done. At first, I wasn’t overly frustrated and reached out to have it addressed. The project manager came out, acknowledged the issues, and agreed to send the crew back but stated he did not think the crew would be able to do much better with the sheathing/caulking. The project manager was indeed correct, their second attempt at fixing the sheathing was just as bad if not worse, and I didn’t feel confident having them return again, which was unfortunate considering they call themselves Mr. Roof but can’t correctly install sheathing. They also claimed they fixed the metal under the gutters that same day, but all they did was put in a few screws, which made it look even worse. It wasn’t until I had to be very direct about my dissatisfaction that someone finally came out and properly fixed that part, I was grateful they eventually did even though I had to adjust my schedule many times to accommodate them rather than them just doing the right thing the first time. (Attached pictures to show their initial "fix") On top of all that, trying to reach a manager was next to impossible they were always out of the office by 2:30, and I could never get a call back in a timely manner. Going into this, I thought Mr. Roof was one of the top companies in the Cincinnati area, but after this experience, I’ve already told friends and neighbors to consider other roofing companies. They’re getting two stars instead of one solely because of the helpfulness of the office administrator and the initial sales process. But overall, the quality of work and customer experience did not match the high price we paid. I would recommend going with a company that gets it right the first time without making you chase them down to fix their own mistakes.
Joe, the Project Consultant, was very polite, professional and informative. He took the time to answer all my questions. He thoroughly explained the entire process of the roof replacement and relieved me about any concerns that I had. He made the entire process simple. Thank you Joe
I know it seems petty to post a review 4 years after the service but I truly did not know how badly it was done until now. In 2020, I contracted Mr Roof to reflash my chimney. For almost $2K, I expected it to be all flashed and done well. The top was never done at all, and the bottom was very sloppy. Mismatched cement/sealant all over. I had a new roof replaced this month due to the Hurricane damage. The drone photos showed me how badly Mr Roof did my job. I'll attach before and after photos. Gray roof is old/Mr Roof. Black roof is the new contractors cleaning up their mess.
A longer review is on Facebook, but the short version is that the responsibility was put on me, the customer, to note any issues. The first day they came out, they damaged a portion of the rake board on one corner of the house (I was later informed the wood was in poor condition, but that was only after I had reached out to the project manager several times to fix it), and also bent a gutter we had not planned to replace. They did replace the gutter, but the section of rake board was an ongoing battle. Not to mention that I was never notified of damage that happened or issues they noted while they were up on the roof or near the gutters, it was only addressed when I reached out to ask about what they intended to do to correct their damage. When billing called regarding the second half of my payment, I raised these concerns and asked if someone could contact me to discuss. Weeks passed and this never happened. The next time I heard from them was from billing AND our salesman stating I was asking for work outside of the contract and threatening to send me to collections. I explained the situation and provided all photos and details, and suddenly the office called to schedule someone to look at it and do what they could. Not once did I receive any apology, nor did they take ownership of any mistake on their part. I’m glad we are selling this home so that I never have to deal with the company again as I have little faith in their willingness to address anything should a warranty issue occur.
