Southeast Restoration has a rating of 4.7 out of 5 based on over 199 reviews on Google
Absolutely amazing. Had a tree hit my house and they were on it. Took care of mitigation, helped me understand the insurance process as well and took the time to answer my questions at every point. Everyone on their team has been professional through and through, extremely friendly and helpful too.
Our church had mold situation in the auditorium that needed to be addressed. We called several places that never returned our calls. We finally ran across the website for Southeast Restoration. After seeing all the great reviews we gave them a call and got an immediate response. We set up a time to meet with someone at the church and they were exactly on time. I met with Zach Davis who is one of their Mitigation Project Managers. He was very knowledgeable about all types of mold and immediately identified our problem and what it would take to remediate the type of mold we had. He was also helpful to identify some possible causes and give us some ideas on how to prevent it from coming back. He gave me a reasonable estimate and we are glad we chose to use Southeast Restoration. They showed up on time to start the project and finished in a reasonable time. They did an awesome job and all of the members of the church were amazed at the transformation of the auditorium when they returned on Sunday. I would highly recommend Southeast Restoration. Zach Davis and his team were professional and courteous in every way and were considerate of our needs and concerns.
THE BONNERS PART1 If I could give them a negative I would. I've read all the 5 star reviews and it makes me madder than I already am. How are all these jobs getting done when I've been waiting over a year for them to put my master bathroom back like it was. Back in October of last year 2024 we came home to what looked like a hole forming in our garage ceiling. After calling our home warranty people we were informed that our master bathroom toilet had a slow leak between the floor of our bathroom and the ceiling downstairs. The plumber that came out called a company that he uses for water restoration which came out within 24hrs to dry up the water. We then called our insurance company to see what was next. The insurance adjuster quoted the cost being no more than $5k to $7k and damage being minimal. Take up the tile, fix the garage ceiling, reset the toilet. I asked if we had to stay with the company that came out or chose our own. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!!!!!! Southeast had just completed a major job for us that started on 02/24 and ended on 09/24 which was done in what seemed like a timely manner. Pipes froze and released through my washing machine. Causing water to flow out the washroom into my hallway (hardwood floors) my daughters room (carpet) my kids Jack and Jill bathroom (tile floors). It then came through my vents and ceiling fans taking out my entire family room downstairs. Needless to say, someone was at my house every week doing something productive. This was a $50k+ job. It had been less than a month since they finished their first job. Plus we noticed an issue that needed attention from the last job. Why not call the company you know and TRUST. They sent the restoration team out within a week to dry everything up and make sure there was no mold damage. They informed us that the next team couldn't make it out until the early part of November. Per our adjuster and the first site manager from southeast this would be done within a month or so. We also informed him at the time of an issue with the last job. He said they would look into it. As the holiday's started to roll around, the consistency in communication and availability changed. We were told they were waiting on the adjuster. After reaching out to the adjuster myself and understanding the effects of the holiday's we were back on track so I thought. At the end of January the bathroom floor tile was removed. By Feb 12th the deductible was paid. We were then informed that there was no match for our previous tile so the shower would need to be redone as well. Keep in mind there has been a hole in my garage ceiling, trash and debris on the side of my house, my toilet in my tub and paper and plastic runners in my home since November. Not to mention no one has addressed our concern with the other job that was still less than 6 months old at this time and less than two months old when we first mentioned it. Every time we reached out for updates the wait was shifted back to the adjuster for the shower approval that would include an additional payment. Someone finally came out the last week of March to patch up the hole in the garage and paint the ceiling. He was set to come back once the paint dried to do touch ups yet never returned. Another payment is sent on April 10th notice the timeline. We signed the revision for the shower on May 2nd. On May 9th we got the last email ever from our Project Manager informing us that material would be ordered within the next week. Well that didn't happen, yet we signed a second revision on the 5th of June.
Dylan was great. The process was uneven intially, thru no fault of Dylan’s own, but he made the wait worth it with his professionalism. I would definitely recommend Southeast Restoration to anyone in need of the services they provide.
THE BONNERS PART2 I gave it about 2 weeks before making another move. Due to the lack of communication I reached out to my adjuster around the middle of June to see how to switch companies because at this point I didn't feel they were capable of getting the job done. He informed us that it shouldn't have taken this long. He went on to say that we have a deadline on the claim process so if they aren't done by December the claim would be canceled/closed out. He suggested that we contact them and let them know we are leaving because that may be a good scared straight tactic WRONG AGAIN! Once I contacted them about my decision to switch companies. I was then informed that the team of people working on my claim was no longer with the company and Nick who had just been transferred in from another location would be taking over. I was asked to give them a chance to right their wrongs and to give them until August since it was the end of June. We had vacations planned for the first week of July and he would be heading on vacation the week after we returned. Still trying to go with the flow we continued with the BS. Time went on and August came and went. They then shifted blame and said they were waiting on us to pick the tile. I didn't care if the tile was orange and blue at this point. I told them they could pick just to get the job done. In September they sent out a new project manager along with a tile guy. Afterwards we met the tile guy at his storefront and picked out everything but a shower door that we were told would need to be replaced as well. We were told once the tile came in the job would be done in no time. They set the date for October 16th which pissed me off because that was around the time we noticed the leak LAST YEAR and almost a month from the current day. However the tile guy sent his people as soon as it came in which turned out to be October the 6th. They came out and removed the shower tile in less than a day. Next they started putting the new tile in and was done with their part by the 14th of October. Now all that needs to be done is drywall in a corner that was damaged, baseboard reattached, shower door and fixtures done, paint and reset the toilet. Why is it NOVEMBER and we're still dealing with this. I gave them until the 1st because this should've been over. I paid them a visit on the 31st of October pissed because another week went by with no shows. I was given more excuses and told someone should've come that actual Friday but something came up. I asked for an end date because at this point it has been a whole calendar year and my claim time was running out and I'm stuck with them. I was told it would/should be done by now the 7th. Here we are today November 10th and I'm still waiting. The painter/ drywall guy came out that Monday and did the baseboards, patch the hole that was made and spot painted. I have left out soooooooooooo many minor details. Like the follow-up on the previous job issue that we never brought back up after not getting any feedback. The trash still outside my house, the shower door that was never ordered in advance, the paint they used was my paint to rush the job along. My entire bathroom should've been repainted, not spot painted. They also should be responsible for cleaning up the dust and debris however I don't want the battle at this point. It's like we hired two totally different companies to do the jobs. How was the first BIG job such a success with the minor issue stated above? Yet the simple job has taken longer!
I highly recommend SE Restoration! We had a major mold/moisture issue in our home from multiple unknown leaks. They took care of all insurance communication and were very up front about everything. Each person who came to our home was kind and helpful. The mold team was much more knowledgeable than other companies we talked with before starting. They took care of issues found, but also ensured others didn’t arise. They were extremely helpful and persistent! Our project manager that was assigned did a great job of communicating and getting rebuild teams set up. We greatly appreciated his honesty with us throughout the entire process and his consideration for our family, especially our child. He was readily available and very supportive during a really difficult time. The contracted teams did a phenomenal job. You won’t find a better company for your home restoration needs!
The team at Southeast Restoration was amazing. They came in after we had a water leak from our washing machine that flooded our laundry room and the floor below it. They worked swiftly to get things cleared up and to get the water mitigation started. EJ Brown was very responsive to my questions and walked me through the process of getting my home back to normal. He is continuing to assist us as we work with contractors to get the repair work done. The water mitigation team - Charles, CJ & Ricky were great to work with and they made sure it was all done properly. I am very happy with Southeast Restoration and would recommend them without hesitation.
