C & S Refinishing & Upholstery

My grandmother passed away in June. This chair was handed down from my great grandmother to her and I received it after she passed. It was in rough shape. Approximately 70-80 years old. Now it will be around for another 70-80 years. Beautiful work!! I love it! Thank you for taking such good care of it.

Professional, friendly, excellent communication, and customer service. Greg did an exceptional job on my makeup vanity. He (and his team) transformed it from a faded honey color with an awful smoke scent into a beautiful, classic heirloom piece. The smoke scent is 100% gone! I went to the shop to see the vanity stripped to its natural wood and to pick out a stain. The vanity looked so different stripped naked that I had a difficult time selecting the finish, but Greg read my mind! It turned out beautiful. I had C&S deliver the vanity - so worth the extra fee. The guys brought it upstairs, attached the mirror, and I sent them away with 2 dressers to refinish!

My grandmother left me an old chest when she passed from 1953 and it was in rough shape - damaged legs, scratched and painted top, stained, etc. The team at C&S did such an amazing job repairing the piece that it looks brand new now! I was worried we would not be able to find anyone that could restore it to its original state but they surpassed all my expectations. Everyone we spoke with was so friendly and patient with us as well. I highly recommend them and will only be taking pieces to them moving forward.

They did a fantastic job at reupholstering my grandmother’s couch that she got back in the 1970s. This couch had been sitting in an old nasty house that we ended up fixing up, didn’t smell too great, the springs were out of whack, the front part was bowing out, just was not comfortable to sit on. Not only did they reupholster it, but they refinished the wooden parts as well to match my floors! I’m absolutely in love! This picture doesn’t even include the new ottoman that they made FROM SCRATCH that goes with the couch to make it an L shape (includes blanket storage!) I’ll always be using them from now on. I took a rocking chair that my husband bought in the 80s. I had a vision of what it could look like. They absolutely nailed it. It looks amazing. They did an excellent job. If you want something done for cheap, this isn't the place. If you want something done right, this is absolutely the place. They are knowledgeable and very helpful.

I was recommended C&S for a mid-century modern chair which needed 2 small new cushions, fabric and nee webbing for the base. I dropped off the chair the end of March and paid for the fabric. The first week of June I called to see when my chair would be ready. They said next week. In September I literally stopped in, asking where my chair was. They starred looking for it, but I found it covered up with stuff. By mid October I called again, they said next week. They called that Friday saying it was ready. After 7 months, i get my chair back with a shocking ticket over $650. I am shell-shocked. Almost $900 to replace the webbing, 2 new cushions, labor, and fabric. Never again will I use their service.

Words cannot describe how amazing these guys are. I received my family's 1840's Jackson Press in usable condition (sorry, no before images, only after) and decided to have it restored/refinished. C&S gave it a whole new life and made it looks as if it never left the 1840's. They are upfront about their pricing, extremely professional and overall, good, friendly people. They told me of who they were along with their history and process so you feel welcomed and invited into their work space. They even went a step further and told me things about the press I didn't know. Turns out, I was missing a piece and they even made the replacement for me! You can't even tell what was missing unless you were looking for it. It just goes to show that these guys mean business when they say they know furniture. I also had them re-upholster some chairs (before are blue chairs, after are pattern and tan) and again, they did not disappoint. Their quality of work is remarkable and just can't be beat. If you have anything you need repaired, upholstered or refinished, C&S needs to be your only stop. They take the time with your items to make sure they give you everything you ask for. If you go with them, you'll get exactly what you pay for: 100% satisfaction.
