Unfortunately I had a flood in my basement but I was fortunate to have met Jay. This was the only company that was responsive in my time of crisis. Jay was very thorough in explaining everything and very courteous throughout. He provided sound advice and helped me navigate my claim process with insurance. He and his team worked very hard and well after "normal " business hours to make sure issues were properly addressed.

Quality work & professional. I am really impressed with JT & team's work. We had our basement flooded with water after tropical Ida storm. He promptly worked with us & provided accurate details on the work needed. With great expertise & genuine concern, it made it easy to work & trust him. Great company. I needed urgent help with one of my window that shattered on the street and was still unsafe to anyone walking by. They came same day, even if it meant it was late, and were really understanding of my situation. They recommended the right approach, removed all the leftover glasses and covered it with a custom piece of wood. Very grateful I found them in a very stressful situation. Would def use them again.

My mother’s house suffered a broken water line that flooded her house for days while she was away visiting family. It was a late Friday afternoon when we found out. I called ServPro which wanted to help but they wanted a Case # from the insurance company before starting any work. Since it was after 5PM on a Friday afternoon, the insurance company could not process the case that quickly. Meanwhile, my mom’s house was soaked, the basement ceilings collapsed, it was terrible. Every minute counted since the longer the damage sat, the higher chance for mold to develop. I frantically searched remediation companies that night. Please keep in mind that in this type of situation, you’re a vulnerable consumer because you’re in need of desperate help. Some businesses may take advantage of this. Not this company. I stumbled upon New York Emergency Boardup Restoration Company from checking Google reviews after not finding much help on Yelp. JT or Jay picked up immediately and offered to come the next morning. His immediate goal was mitigation, preventing further damage to the home. First he took very detailed and careful moisture readings throughout the home and then set up the heavy duty dehumidifiers to start drying things out. You could immediately tell he takes pride in his work, and cares about the health of my mom and his team. He had parts of the house sent out to an independent lab to check for asbestos since it was an old home. He didn’t want to risk my mother’s health or those of his workers. Jay has a lot of experience with these kinds of situations and knew the efficient order to do things. The clean up was orderly and well planned. He did not let my mom lift a finger. My mom was very happy with how well Jay cleaned up after each visit. Tools were neatly stored, the work area was swept and tidy, Jay ran a tight ship. Jay negotiated with the insurance company and took care of all the details. He made everything easy for us from mitigation to restoration. When working with contractors, many will talk a great game but sometimes will fail to deliver. Oftentimes, a homeowner has to go through many contractors before settling on a good one. By going with Jay, you will save a lot of time and can avoid the trial and error process of having contractors "practice" on your precious home. Jay has an extensive network of hand picked experienced contractors to call upon if he needs help. He has high standards and has done the work of weeding out poor performing contractors. His electrician was top notch and the work his team did was great. If it failed to meet his high standards, Jay would have it redone or he would do it correctly himself. Overall, it has been a great experience working with Jay. Would recommend!
