BELFOR Property Restoration (Columbia)

We had a huge hole in the ceiling in our office/storage room from a worker who accidentally stepped off a joist while in our attic. Ugh! With 18 inches of insulation pouring down through the huge hole from up there. Belfor sent a crew the very next day to thoroughly clean up the awful fiberglass mess and to assess the necessary repairs. They came ( at our convenience) and repaired the ceiling, but the repair to that 45 year old popcorn ceiling was unsuccessful. All the popcorn on the entire ceiling started peeling off. So, they came back and redid the whole ceiling smooth and it was beautiful,! except for one tiny spot that started to peel. I sent a photo of the spot and they came the next day and repaired it in a couple of hours and it’s perfect! The crews they sent were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I’m impressed with their followup too, and making sure we were satisfied with the work. If I had one criticism it would be that English was not the first language of the crew and we had to rely on google translate to communicate. Before, during and after photos attached. I was the general contractor who brought Belfor (West Columbia Office) to my customer's job. I've been a licensed general contractor in South Carolina for nearly 30 years & in the building industry for over 45 & this is the worst company I have ever used during all this time. They handled this job very unprofessionally from the beginning right up until the end. I've heard some good things about Belfor's upper management in other locations, but I would never deal with this West Columbia Location/office again. ***What business allows managers to give themselves a 5 star rating? I contacted Belfor Property Restoration for the first time in 2021 after my tenants set my garage on fire and almost burned down my house. Blake and the rest of the employees at Belfor took VERY GOOD care of me during that very stressful time. Fast forward to 2025, I'm in the process of selling my rental property when the inspection report showed a few items of concern. I immediately contacted Belfor on last Thursday and they sent Blake out to my property today. I would give both Blake and Belfor more than 5 Stars if I could. They will continue to be my first choice for property restoration and I highly recommend them for all your property restoration needs.

We needed to have an old vacant home boarded up quickly after a recent break-in. This group responded with an estimate the same day. And completed the project early the following week. They supplied pictures showing the finished work We were very happy with the rapid response and professional work of this company.

BELFOR Property Restoration representative (Thomas "Blake" Dodson) did an excellent job managing the repairs for my home that was struck by lightning in April 2022. I never imagined my home would be struck by lightning. I was not prepared emotional to address the many issues at hand. However, I was blessed to have a company (BELFOR) to took into account my every need! The subcontractors they employed were exceptional. They worked around-the-clock to get me back into my house within 30-days, while they continued to address the remaining repairs. They answered every question and made sure I thoroughly understood what was happening and when. They even worked within my personal schedule that was already in place before the damage occurred. This allowed me to relax and not be anxious while they did the heavy lifting to repair my house. I thank GOD for sending an AMAZING company my way? Thank you BELFOR for making my house a home again! I couldn't had a better partner doing this restoration.

We have worked with many disaster restoration companies in the past, and Belfor was actually a pleasant surprise. When we had a water leak recently Kara got someone out in the same day, and they did an excellent job. They were surprisingly reasonably priced as well. All in all, I highly recommend them!
