It was 8 o'clock at night and I went out to get the garbage cans when the spring on the garage door snapped. I called the original installer of the door and of course got an answering machine. I left a message and called a friend for help the next day. They told me about Proper Garage Doors and said they were very good to them. So I called and Chris, the owner, answered the phone himself. After trying to negotiate a time for the next day and mentioning my wife is in the hospital. Chris said I can come out tonight for a small after hours charge, a very reasonable $50. From the time I called to the time, Chris left was less than an hour and a half. In today's world where can you get that kind of experience. Additionally, upon arrival Chris reviewed with me before he started the things he would be looking at and what what the cost might be. I figured I'd be paying for all of them, but when he was done, Chris said the other parts were fine and he didn't see a need to change them. He even made some adjustments to make the door run smoother. He more than exceeded my ex expectations and I can't recommend Chris and Proper Garage Door enough!

Their service technician, Doug, was out to us the same day. He quickly identified the issue and made the repair for an incredibly reasonable price. I would recommend them for service and will likely be considering them as we look to potentially replace our garage door in the future.

I damaged my garage door (it needs to be open before you back your car out) so I couldn't drive out or even raise the door. I called a few places and no one could come out but Proper Garage had a technician who came and stayed after hours and temporarily fixed the door until a new door could be ordered and installed. I was very satisfied with their customer service and workmanship and highly recommend them.
