For a single mom that has never had water damage Robert made this experience much easier and doable with Apex Restoration DKI, and I want to specifically compliment Robert for his professionalism and expertise. From the moment he arrived to provide an estimate for mold remediation in the crawl space of my home, he demonstrated a deep awareness of the industry and clear knowledge of best practices. Robert, took the time to have it make sense to understanding the process while walking me through the details of the situation, explaining not only what was going on but also why his recommendations were best suited for my specific circumstances. Robert was so patient with my work calls always interrupting our walk troughs and him knowing that I work from home and he was able to do demo without me having to leave my home! His ability to balance technical knowledge with clear, understandable guidance gave me confidence that I was in good hands. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Robert was fantastic from start to finish. He clearly communicated what areas he was going to inspect and made sure we understood the process. He was incredibly thorough in checking the entire house for moisture issues, leaving no stone unturned. On top of that, he was genuinely friendly and easy to talk to, which made the experience even better. Although we didn’t end up needing their services this time, we truly appreciated the professionalism and care—and we will definitely reach out again if the need arises.
Highly recommended DKI to anyone needing work done. Jennifer handled the insurance company and made sure everything was perfect all throughout the remodel. We had a tree fall on our house and this company made sure we had a place to stay instantly, and immediately made sure all our belongings where ordially and Safley stored. Jennifer assisted us all through out the project, and made sure we where taken care of. Jennifer we thankyou.
Had some remediation work done on behalf of another vendor. Robert was our technician. Had to come out 3 separate times to ensure the work was completed and done correctly. Respectful, Courteous, Thorough, Communicative and on-time. Great all around experience and would recommend for the future!
Update: Apex's COO saw my bad review below and--wonder of wonders in the world of business!--asked his people to look into it. Apex DKI took it upon themselves to contact me, hear me out, and make things right. They are right now in the process of getting a team together to completely repair both problems at no cost to me--again, at the COO's instigation! Yes, I did run into a problem with one local part of the company, but it is wonderful that those in charge of the whole company agreed that it was a problem and are absorbing the cost of helping me. I have felt nothing but care, respect, and kindness from Andy Curtiss and Ken Chaney, who reached out to me, believed me, reassured me, and advocated for me. For the higher-ups in a company to make the effort when I had not contacted them directly speaks volumes of their character. I am sure that one Google review for a local branch really wouldn't affect the success of the company very much, so this concern seems to me to flow from the fact that they are people of integrity. When I was in the middle of fighting this battle, I was baffled by the company's A+ rating on Better Business Bureau. Now I understand it completely; it's well deserved. I am in awe and so, so thankful. Original post: When I hired Apex to deal with our water damage problem, I had already purchased the flooring we wanted to go over the repair (we discovered the water damage during what we thought would be a simple renovation project). Apex sent a team that seemed competent but could not speak a word of English. This lack of communication ended up a factor in what was to come. The team installed a damaged and patched vinyl plank in our bathroom floor—in a closet where it would not be as noticeable, but they never notified us in any way. They stayed quiet and I guess it was up to us to find it. They also installed a cracked/broken drawer in our new vanity without letting us know it was damaged, leaving us to discover it. We did find the drawer and get them to replace it. Unfortunately, we did not find the messed up plank in our closet until after we had signed off on the work. We also ended up having to replace our toilet. This would not be an issue at all, except that once we installed the new toilet, we found an ugly, badly cut vinyl plank that the new, slightly smaller toilet exposed. We had no way of knowing this was badly cut, since our old toilet was covering it until we had to get it replaced. When I contacted Joseph Oren, our project manager, about my disappointment with the quality of our repair, he implied that I should not have bought a smaller toilet (as if I could have anticipated) and gave me to understand that the problem in my closet was because I had not provided enough materials—so, kind of my fault. (They had never once raised any objections to us having already bought the flooring during the sales/quote process. And they never once told me they had run out of materials.) Since we had contracted Apex through our insurance company, we let the insurance company know about the shoddy work and lack of communication. The insurance company obtained a verbal promise from the project manager, Joseph Oren, that they would make it right. That was last September. We are still waiting in July of the next year. It seems we have been ghosted. We long ago bought more of the flooring materials in anticipation. We have reached out repeatedly to Joe Oren at Apex for updates. We keep getting told to wait and be patient. I am so tired of having to resurrect the issue over and over again with them. I am sure they are tired of me. It usually takes several annoying emails or texts from me to get any response at all. At this point, I would honestly feel bad if someone went with Apex and had the same experience. That is why I’m leaving this review. The photos are of the exposed messy cut under the toilet and of the uncommunicated patched vinyl plank in the closet.
Robert came in after my house flooded and really got to work. What I thought would take months took Robert about a week. The awful smell was gone and the mold caused by the flood was clean and gone. I would hire Robert and Sarah to work for me in a heartbeat! Thank you for your hard work!!
